At Compassion Coalition, led by CEO Mike Servello and based in Utica New York, we’re committed to addressing the heightened humanitarian needs in New York City, particularly amid the recent influx of migrants. While political discourse continues, our focus as a humanitarian organization is squarely on the tangible impacts on individuals and families.
In this vein, we’ve partnered with 9 Million Reasons, an instrumental force in NYC’s battle against hunger and food insecurity. Under Pastor Carolyn Marko’s leadership, 9 Million Reasons has become one of the city’s largest feeding agencies, with an impressive record of serving 6.5 million people and distributing over 74 million pounds of food across 275 food pantries.
Our recent collaboration involved providing significant support to 9 Million Reasons. This included delivering a truckload and $500,000 worth of fresh produce and packaged food. This contribution from Compassion Coalition, guided by Mike Servello, is part of our broader mission to offer meaningful support during crises. This partnership enables us to extend our reach, helping a diverse array of people, including migrants, the elderly, veterans, children, and families grappling with food insecurity in Queens and NYC.
This joint effort exemplifies how organizations can come together to make a substantial impact, transcending geographic boundaries. Our collaboration with 9 Million Reasons is a testament to the power of unity in addressing critical needs and spreading hope.
