Residents of the Schaffer Heights senior center in Schenectady were in for a surprise treat this August when Bargain Grocery provided fresh produce for a pop-up ‘farmer’s market’. Fresh goods including carrots, oranges, onions, and apples were brought directly to the center, eliminating the need for residents to travel during the pandemic.
Food accessibility and equality is an issue for so many, especially during this time. We work so hard to make sure that Bargain Grocery stocked for our community, AND that we work with our partner agencies to ensure our communities are accessing fresh produce.
