We are excited to announce our participation in Governor Hochul’s annual giveaway. The Compassion Coalition, led by CEO Mike Servello, has generously donated over $100,000 in clothing. This significant contribution will immensely benefit several regions across New York State, with a special focus on the Mohawk Valley districts.
This donation is a testament to our core mission: providing effective assistance to those in need and fostering sustainable growth within our communities. Our initiative goes beyond mere charity, representing our deep commitment to creating a tangible, positive impact in the lives of those we support.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Carli Rightmier, Mohawk Valley Regional Representative for Governor Hochul, for her instrumental role in orchestrating this event. Her expert coordination was crucial to the effective distribution of our donation.
We also wish to acknowledge the invaluable support of the Department of Transportation (DOT), and especially Tim McGuire, who oversaw the logistics of sorting, loading, and dispatching trucks in alignment with Carli Rightmeir’s plan. Their work, beginning at the early hour of 4:30 AM, was essential in ensuring the timely and organized delivery of clothing throughout New York.
In addition, we owe a special thank you to Merrie Keller from Delivering Good, the premier clothing philanthropic distributor. Her initiative in reaching out and partnering with us was pivotal in enabling such a widespread outreach. The collaboration with Delivering Good greatly expanded our capacity to make a substantial impact through this giveaway.
This collective effort with Governor Hochul’s office, the DOT, and Delivering Good exemplifies the power of partnerships in community service. It showcases how collaboration with government entities and private organizations can amplify our ability to provide meaningful assistance to communities.
At the Compassion Coalition, we are committed to building such partnerships and exploring innovative ways to support our communities. We believe in the strength of collective action and are dedicated to making lasting, positive changes in the communities we serve.
