Compassion Coalition Sends Multiple Loads to 9 Million Reasons to Support New York City Communities In Crisis

In a broadened effort to support the needy in New York City, Compassion Coalition, under CEO Mike Servello‘s leadership, has been actively collaborating with 9 Million Reasons, an influential organization led by Pastor Carolyn Marko. This partnership has seen the delivery of multiple large truckloads of essential supplies over the past few weeks, including fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a variety of clothing items retail value over $1 Million dollars.

9 Million Reasons, operating as the outreach arm of Evangel Church in Long Island City, has been a major player in New York City’s fight against hunger and homelessness. Their mission encompasses not only the distribution of food but also the provision of vital community services such as educational classes and job training. Since March 2020, they have dedicated their resources to addressing the increasing food insecurity in the city, impacting millions, including a significant number of children.

Under Pastor Marko’s guidance, 9 Million Reasons has been instrumental in serving millions of New Yorkers, with the distribution of approximately 74 million pounds of food to over 275 food pantries. This demonstrates their unwavering commitment to addressing the city’s most pressing needs.
