Over the last few months, it has been our pleasure to partner with the Food for Thought project to serve 250 families weekly in the Camden School District.
Each week our kitchen staff provided fresh from scratch family meals to these 250 families. Our kitchen staff made such fun meals! Everything from fresh meatballs and spaghetti, bbq chicken, chicken parmigiana, and today’s grilled ham steak with Jamaican pineapple salsa over roasted potatoes. And, they knocked it out of the park. Some weeks we were sending out over 650 prepared made from scratch meals to 4 different locations, including Camden’s family size meals.
Food for Thought published this statement on our partnership:
We are beyond grateful for our partnership with Compassion Coalition- they were a miraculous answer to many desperate prayers for how we were going to pull this all off. Every week we did our very best to care for our neighbors, and we hope that over the past few months our neighbors felt loved, cared for, and maybe even a little spoiled. It takes a village, and Camden is undeniably a Small Town with a Big Heart.
Our program has since ended, but we wanted to publicly thank all of the incredible staff and volunteers that it has taken to make this program so successful! Huge shout out to our kitchen team who have the best attitudes, and are always willing to go above and beyond for our communities!
